Famed scholar at YI Sharon

Aviv adds geriatric care team
NORTH SHORE - Aviv Centers for Living has added Geriatric Care Management to its continuum of care, which includes short- and long-term care, memory care, home care, adult day services and assisted living. Striar students meet author
SHARON - After reading the novel "The Phantom Tollbooth," sixth graders at Striar Hebrew Academy in Sharon had the opportunity to meet the author, Norton Juster. Invited to his home in Amherst, students learned that Juster's professional training as an architect inspired him to write "Phantom Tollbooth." Juster acknowledged that he does get writer's block, and tries to write every day. He autographed each student's copy of the book and one for the school's library. Full Story
Nobel Prize winner dines with ATS
FALMOUTH - Technion Professor Avram Hershko dined at Coonamessett Inn with Technion supporters. Hershko and fellow Technion Professor Aaron Ciechanover shared the 2004 Nobel Prize in Chemistry with Irwin Rose of the University of California for discovering the process by which cells break down proteins.
