Church: No offense to Jews intended

Why is Pope Benedict XVI hastening the process to have Holocaust era Pope Pius XII named a saint? Last weekend's Vatican move has angered Jews and surprised even some Catholic leaders. Several Boston College professors suggested that Benedict's action could be intended to show that the Catholic Church would not bow to outside pressure.
