Bout with breast cancer leads to a more dignified gown

The unsettling phone call from Lauren Zirilli’s physician came at dinnertime some three years ago. The biopsy results were back and the doctor was calling to notify the 42-year-old fit and active Boston mother that she had stage one breast cancer. Weeks earlier, Zirilli had discovered the lump during a routine breast exam.
