Every year, the American Jewish community spends hundreds of millions of dollars for Israel education and exchange programs.
In Israel, few, if any, programs promote awareness about the life of American Jews.
Philanthropist Jay Ruderman, a Malden native who now lives in Israel, said most Israelis don’t understand American Jews, and he aims to change that.
