Untold Shoah story set to song

‘A Melancholy Beauty’ recounts rescue of Bulgarian Jews

Three hundred singers and musicians will take the stage at the Wang Theatre to perform the new oratorio “A Melancholy Beauty.” Through music, the performers will tell the littleknown Holocaust story of the rescue of 49,000 Bulgarian Jews. The oratorio will make its Boston debut June 23. It is also being performed this month in New York and Washington D.C.
