Make way for Nancy Schön

With retrospective, Newton sculptor shows that ducklings are just part of her story

If you’re under 35 and grew up around Boston, chances are you’ve sat on a Nancy Schön sculpture. The Newton artist is best known for her bronze sculptures of Mrs. Mallard and her brood of eight that this year mark their 25th year in the Boston Public Garden. They were inspired by Robert Mc- Closkey’s children’s book “Make Way for Ducklings.”
