Masada sends Alice Hoffman on five-year Jewish journey
When novelist Alice Hoffman traveled to Israel and visited the ancient fortress of Masada, she went as a tourist. As it turned out, the experience launched her on a fiveyear literary journey.
“I felt the past all around me and that’s how ‘The Dovekeepers’ began,” said Hoffman about her most recent novel.
