Peabody Holocaust survivor celebrates centennial
PEABODY – A man who survived the terror of the Holocaust celebrated a monumental birthday this week at the Aviv Centers for Living here.
Shlomo Masis, a former Lynn resident and native of Moldova, turned 100 last week.
His granddaughter, Julie Masis, said she grew up knowing Masis survived the Holocaust, but knew few details about his troubling experience.
